Winning weekend!

This was a good weekend for winning. First of all, on Saturday my chili won first prize! It was a delicious combination of venison steak, ground meat, vegetables, and spices. It really did taste good. :)

There were six other contestants, five of which stank. One was inedible due to being burnt. But the second place winner tasted very similar to ours, with a touch more heat. I was glad to win, because this was a fine chili.


I was exhausted by the time we got home, thanks to teen drama from the night before. But I worked drowsily on photos and kept up a little on the NCAA Final Four. Although I got nervous, Michigan State won. They play in the championship tonight.

Sunday I spent the entire day doing volleyball. The lovely Ex was supposed to spell me at noon or so, but "suddenly remembered" she had organized a block party. Whatever. It was actually good, because my daughter's team won the division they were in. They were the victors! It was awesome.
