Arlen Specter: At least he's honest now

I don't know if Arlen Specter has always been a RINO, or it has only been during my lifetime. His statement announcing his switch from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party said, "I now find my political philosophy more in line with Democrats than Republicans."

I wonder when he first found that he was a Democrat? When he voted against energy independence? When he voted to un-Constitutionally give the District of Columbia a seat in Congress? When he voted yes on comprehensive immigration reform? When he voted most recently to fund the Democratic Pork Program?

Regardless, this latest move is his baldly political effort to remain in power. He faced being unseated in the primaries, and wasn't looking at getting RNC campaign money. Now he can be backed by George Soros. Who would expect anything else but a baldly political move from a Democrat.
